School receptionist
The Island Private School of Limassol in Cyprus opened in September 2022, and is now looking for competent, experienced and, above all, passionate School Receptionist to join the team from mid August 2024
We are also in the process of planning our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m2 site to be completed approximately by end of 2025, that will include kindergartens, elementary and high schools, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. Working hours: 07.45-15.40/10:15-18:15 (rotation scheme)
The School Receptionist is the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, and performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth functioning of the school office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; take messages and provide information as needed.
- Manage the school's main email account, responding to inquiries and forwarding emails to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain visitor log and ensure all visitors sign in and out.
- Issue visitor passes and provide necessary information about school policies and procedures.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Maintain and update student and staff directories.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings for school administrators.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance; follow up on student absences and tardiness.
- Update and manage student files and databases.
- Assist with enrollment and registration processes.
- Provide logistical support for meetings, including setting up rooms and arranging materials.
- Assist with first aid and emergency procedures as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming.
- Update the insuarance provider with the students data
Qualifications, skills & experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive and professional demeanour.
- Fluent English and Russian speaker. Knowledge of Greek, Ukrainian or Hebrew as a plus.
