Back office officer
Our client is a well established CySEC licensed investment firm with offices in Limassol looking for a Back office Officer. They’re looking for someone with 2-3 experience in a similar role in the financial markets industry, excellent English, attention to detail and good communication and organization skills.
Job Responsibilities
To review escalated items from business unit to determine whether client due diligence requirements have been satisfied.
To monitor customer accounts against government lists, internal watch lists and high-risk jurisdiction list.
To participate in AML Group training sessions and/or global conference calls.
To make regular checks and prepare reports and all necessary documents.
To act as the Company's contact to respond to routine types of inquiries and provide general advice regarding the subject.
To implement compliance and monitoring procedures.
To communicate with new and existing clients of the Company and perform the Know-Your Client procedures.
To help the implementation of the periodic compliance/AML monitoring program by collecting, testing, analyzing and reporting data.
To observe, monitor & report to the Board of Directors of the Company and/or the CEO on all matters concerning regulatory and internal compliance.
To generally promote to the highest possible level the business of the Company and to keep the good reputation of the Company.
To open new, amend and terminate client's accounts.
To monitor the transactions performed through the Company, make comparisons with the instructions received and to sort out any discrepancies.
To update the system/records of the client/own account (i.e. funds and/or securities to/from client's accounts
Any other related tasks assigned by his/her manager.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a Business Administration or a related field.
Prior experience in a back-office role within a forex brokerage firm or financial institution is highly desirable.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the financial industry.
Handle client accounts, including account opening, verification, and maintenance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Process financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers accurately and efficiently. Monitor transaction queues and resolve any issues promptly.
Assist clients with inquiries related to account management, transactions, and general support. Provide prompt and professional responses via email, phone, or live chat.
Maintain accurate records of transactions, client communications, and regulatory documents. Generate reports as required by management or regulatory authorities.
Coordinate with the front-office, compliance, finance, and IT departments to address issues, implement process improvements, and ensure alignment across different functions.
Utilize back-office systems and software effectively to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Provide feedback on system enhancements or troubleshooting needs.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and maintain open communication channels to address issues and share insights effectively.
Demonstrated proficiency in using CRM software to manage customer interactions, track client accounts, and analyze customer data.
Ability to accurately input and maintain customer data in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and consistency.
Experience in segmenting and categorizing customer data for targeted marketing campaigns, client communications, and reporting purposes.
Understanding of data privacy regulations, compliance standards, and industry guidelines governing CRM usage and customer data management within the financial industry.
