Soviet Ukrainian artist of decorative and applied arts, an outstanding ceramist. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Born on September 6, 1932 in the village of Firleevy (Ivano-Frankivsk region). Graduated from the Lviv Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts (1967). Teachers by specialty: M. Gladky, Y. Latuk, R. Selsky, D. Krvavich. He worked in the field of decorative arts (glass, ceramics) and small sculptures. From 1993-2004, Associate Professor at the Department of Design and Fundamentals of Architecture at the Institute of Architecture. He created small sculptures in ceramics; he performed monumental works using stained glass and mosaic techniques; The main genres in painting are portraits and landscapes. Kichula's work is characterized by a balanced composition, the use of golden colors interspersed with cold tones. Some works are kept in the Ukrainian museums NMUNDM, MEHP, Lviv Historical Museum, and the Hetmanate Museum (Kyiv). He has participated in Republican and All-Union exhibitions of the Soviet Union since 1964.
