Bright, beautiful sculpture of a noble knight in a scarlet cloak with a shining sword and shield in perfect collectible condition. Produced at the Aelteste Volkstedt porcelain manufactory in Germany.
Underglaze blue Aelteste Volkstedt stamp on the bottom of the work. Under the stamp, the exact date of issue of the sculpture blue underglaze 1962. Also at the bottom in the test is the model number V20891.

Located in Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany, the Aelteste Volkstedter PorzellanmanufakturVolkstedt porcelain manufactory is the very first and oldest porcelain manufactory in Thuringia. The manufactory traces its history back to the official announcement made on September 8, 1760 by Georg Heinrich Macheleid porcelain maker Georg Heinrich Macheleid (1723-1801). In the 19th century, the manufactory attracted auxiliary and competing workshops in Rudolstadt: they included some of the most expensive and famous world manufactories Beyer & Bock, Karl Ens, Kämmer & Kramer, Ernst Bohne Söhne, Műller & Hammer.
