•A handsome carved soapstone jar was created in India in the 1960's NOW ONLY €39,90

•The original paper label is still intact on the bottom side, see close up photo. The round bowl shaped vessel has been carved from one solid piece of stone , so the lid and base have matching patterning with in the stone.

•The stone is evenly figured and a pale celadon green color. Both the lid and base have remained in great vintage condition,some marks and wear due to age.

•Soapstone is a porous soft stone, easily carved and it will absorb oils or staining liquids, so we recommend not using it to serve or store foods. It appears to have hardly been used and would make a great vessel to store jewelry or other small treasures.
