Pet sitting/ pet hotel for vacations

About me:

I have more than six years of experience professionally sitting for cats and other small animals. I'm originally from Canada where I volunteered and fostered for the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPCA) for three years. I have had cats in my family and been taking care of them my entire life.

I love animals so it's honestly just a pleasure for me to get to take care of them.

References can be provided.

I have my own cat at home so I cannot offer in-home stays but I can offer fostering and home visits.

Unfortunately, I cannot offer services for larger dogs at this time.

What I offer:

--> Fostering:

We have an extra bedroom in our house for use as your pet's hotel while you are away. There's also a safe balcony for them to languish if they so desire.

Many pet hotels offer poor partitioning between your pets and other animals so this is a good option for your pet's peace.

Your pet would ideally be brought to stay with their food, litter, litter box, favorite toys, and preferred bed for some familiar comfort.

-->Home visits in the Nicosia area:

I believe that while you are away your cat deserves more than just having someone throw down some food. Company and play are important.

However, because I cannot be a live-in sitter, I do not recommend this option for an extended period of time as your pet deserves more than a few hours a day of company.

My sitting include the following:

-Meet and greet before you leave to make sure we're a good fit and to understand your pet's routine and preferences. It's also good to get them familiar with me in your company. Pre-trial of any required medication administration to make sure things will go well while you are away.

-Feeding 2-3x a day as appropriate, or topping up dry food. Cleaning of dishes. If necessary, supervision of multiple cats to keep them from each other's food.

-Administering any medicine as required.

-Changing water bowls 2x a day.

-For cats: Cleaning litterbox 1-2x a day, with full clean every week. Any necessary sweeping.

For small animals: Daily cleaning of cage.

For small dogs: Regular potty breaks and walks, as suits their routine.

-Brushing, playing and general company for at least 2 hours a day.

-An email or text everyday with updates on how things are going.

+I can also water plants while you're away, if given instruction.

-Over all: Your pet will be cared for and monitored by someone with knowledge of appropriate animal care and signs of illness.

Rate:

-Fostering: 15 euros a day.

-Home visits: Approx 20-30 euros a day (depending on distance and number of needed home visits). Negotiable based on length of period away.
