Accountant
Our client is a CySEC licensed investment firm with offices in Limassol, currently looking for an Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification, previous experience in the field, will have communication skills and proficiency in English.
Job Responsibilities
Managing all incoming and outgoing payments accurately in the company's accounting system.
Interact extensively with banks, responsible for managing the company's bank accounts.
Experience with payroll software systems and proficiency in using accounting software for payroll processing.
Understanding of relevant tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to payroll administration.
Ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee wages.
Skill in interpreting financial data and performance metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, ledgers, and documentation, utilizing accounting software and other financial systems effectively.
Provide support during external audits, tax filings, and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documents and information.
Stay informed about developments in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance financial processes and reporting practices.
Any other related tasks assigned by his/her manager.
Reports to the CFO.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, or professional certification (such as CPA or ACCA).
Minimum of 2 years previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the financial services industry, is desirable.
Experience with financial reporting.
Understanding of currency markets, and financial instruments is essential.
Understanding of tax laws and regulations.
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties (such as auditors, regulators, and tax authorities).
