In this role, you will assist in preparing our renowned confectionery delights while supporting the kitchen team to ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills, work alongside a passionate team, and contribute to maintaining the exceptional reputation Wilton Patisserie is known for.Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook dishes according to company guidelines and established recipes, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency in taste and presentation. Set up workstations, organize ingredients, and support the cooking process by following instructions from senior kitchen staff. Ensure all food is thoroughly checked before leaving the station to maintain quality, taste, and presentation standards. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure dishes are ready for timely service. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify supervisors of any shortages or replenishment needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including HACCP standards. Operate kitchen equipment and tools safely and efficiently. Minimize food waste by following proper preparation and portioning methods. Assist in food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients. Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures related to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during busy service periods.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training or certification is an advantage. Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred, but not mandatory. Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with various cooking procedures and methods. Good organizational and time-management skills to support efficient kitchen operations. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Proficiency in English or applicable workplace language for clear communication. Good understanding of hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong teamwork skills to contribute to overall kitchen success.
