The Python-Drive is the complete drive system for yachts, sloops, and workboats of all sizes. Once installed, periodic alignment of the engine on the propeller shaft is no longer required. Annoying axial drive reactions between the motor and propeller shaft are eliminated, and the thrust pressure is transferred "softly" to the hull of the vessel through the special suspension of the thrust bearing in rubber. The heart of each Python-Drive is the maintenance-free homokinetic drive shaft, which is generously sized for all tasks in all configurations. The thrust bearing is well-dimensioned and maintenance-free for all models. The Python-Drive comes with all necessary installation materials, including an adapter flange for the most common gearbox types, a homokinetic drive shaft, a robust thrust bearing unit, and all bolts, nuts, locking rings, and rubbers to absorb the thrust. Complete standard units are available for shaft diameters from 19mm to 100mm, including inch sizes. Conical shaft fittings can be supplied on request. Thrust bearings are also available as separate units and can be easily mounted anywhere on the propeller shaft. To determine the appropriate Python-Drive, use the following equation: (A:B) x 9680 x C = propeller shaft torque in Nm, where A is the maximum engine power in kW, B is the maximum engine speed, and C is the reduction gearbox ratio.
